My favorite part of a wedding day is the bride and groom portraits 🙂 Unfortunately, these portraits come last during portrait time between the ceremony and the reception which means that if the family portraits and bridal party portraits run late, the couple pays the price. Because of this, it is really important to designate someone to grab all the necessary family members and keep them in one place so your wedding photographer can work through his or her process quickly and effectively without having to wait for someone to grab someone else for each grouping. Choose one or two people who know all the family members that are needed. It is also helpful to notify any family member that is going to be in portraits before the wedding day so they know to be ready. If all family members are present and ready to be photographed, the process can be done quickly leaving lots of time for the bride and groom to have their time in front of the camera as well 🙂
