I am a wedding photographer and I arrive a half hour early to all weddings just to photograph the details. I photograph ALL the details. Some of these details are elaborate and some are sweet and simple but they are all important to telling the story of the day. They are all unique to each wedding and a lot of thought goes into them and they are often the first thing forgotten. The one detail that gets overlooked the most often is something so simple but makes a HUGE difference. HANGERS. This is really more for the bride and her bridesmaids. Changing out the plastic hangers that the dresses came on for a nice wood hanger really makes a big difference when these items are photographed. If you want to take it a step further, you can get a fancy hanger that has something engraved or wires that are shaped into your name, but this of course is not necessary. I feel that this makes such a big difference that I actually bring a set of natural wood, white, and black hangers with me to every wedding so that if a bride didn’t remember to grab hangers, I can swap them out for her.
