Hiya!
This is Agustina from Agustina Leske Photography, and I’m writing today about one of the most important parts of your wedding: the guests.
While I take a sip of water and breathe, I begin to count how many guests I will have at my wedding.
Yes it is. While I am a passionate photographer of weddings, I am also a bride-to-be.
I am a Latina with Italian descent, so my family is very big and I do not want anyone to be left out. But still I want to stay in a budget without my wedding looking cheap and skimpy.
The guests are a number that will mark what kind of venue I will choose, what kind of food I will serve and what kind of cake I will have.
Yes, even the cake counts. Keep in mind that if you have a family that loves sweet things then it is worth investing in a large cake, while if you have guests who prefer more salty food, a few cupcakes and cake pops will be more than enough.
Another very important thing is what kind of food the guests are going to eat. If there are guests vegans, vegetarians, gluten free or diabetics.
The quality of venue that we are going to choose is very important, since we should calculate between 20 to 30 square feet per guest. It may sound exaggerated but it is not, since we must calculate the place of the tables, the waiters, the dance floor, and the band.
So this is my advice this month:
– Make a list of your guests (includes all those you think are important, do not invite anyone who does not believe they deserve to be in the most important day of your life!).
– study each one, by age and diet.
– Start preparing the invitations.
– Enjoy every part of the process. Your wedding is unique and unforgettable!
Agustina.
